This is my first proper job after leaving A–level college – although I worked part–time in retail before that. I’ve now been here for two years.
I’m a Customer Services Representative in the allocations team for roadside recovery. We decide which garage to deal with for specific breakdowns, and who’s going to pick the customer up. There’s constant variety – and I think that’s great.
I especially love it when I can see a project through from beginning to end. You can have a very upset driver on the phone one day – three days later, you’re calling them to say their car’s ready to be picked up. All in all, that’s very satisfying.
The team’s great fun – everyone’s friendly, supportive and approachable, and it’s a good laugh. Management are always there for us, and the social side of things is brilliant.
I’m really into the idea of exploring different areas of the business. I’m now doing a two–week secondment in HR – which should give me a good idea of how FMG Support works in different areas.
I think that – if you’re prepared to work hard here – you’ll have lots of opportunities to develop and progress. And the company will go out of their way to make it happen for you.
