Before I joined FMG Support, I got a BTec in Performing Arts – I still love acting! After that, I worked in retail, and was an assistant in a few different stores.
I joined FMG Support two years ago, as a Customer Services Representative. After six months, I got promoted to Team Leader – and I’ve now got a team of 14 Customer Services Representatives reporting to me.
I love the team – they’re a great laugh and massively supportive. When it gets busy – and it often does – the team makes everything much easier. There’s a lot of pressure from day–to–day. But I’d say that was a good thing.
To give you some idea of what my job involves – one time, I had to deal with a client who’d broken down with a horsebox. Because horses are so valuable, this was a very stressful situation. Anyway, we arranged for the driver and their horses to get home safely, which was very rewarding.
I’ve never worked for a company that’s cared so much about its customers and people. They really want to develop people, and there are lots of opportunities to progress – so if you work hard here, you’re going to succeed. The social side of it’s good, too. They organise all kinds of events, including a recent summer party.
I love what I’m doing right now. In the future, I’d like to stay here, and work in different areas of the business.
