FMG Support Steering to top award
Issued September 14 2007
A Fleet management company in Huddersfield has won a national award for its marketing strategy.
FMG Support, based at St Andrew’s Road, won the award from the Management Consultancies Association.
The award was collected in conjunction with FMG’s marketing and branding agency, Propaganda. The accolade recognises the growth of FMG Support over the past three years.
The MCA Awards are held annually and recognise excellence in British industry.
This year’s finalists included major companies, government bodies and other private sector organisations.
Since 2004, FMG Support has developed from three separate business units into one integrated company – providing the foundation for a brand that is respected throughout the industry for the quality of its work, its client base and its ability to challenge industry conventions.
FMG Support has also contributed to a cross-industry working group chaired by former transport minister Stephen Norris to debate key issues facing the fleet industry.
The company’s standing has enabled it to secure contracts with clients such as GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, Leaseplan, Masterlease and Royal Mail.
FMG Support chief executive Nick Brown said:“Winning a national MCA award is testament to the development of our brand and the growth of our business over the past three years. We have never been afraid to do things differently, and our approach to our brand is evident of that.”
“By leading the charge to put fleet management as an issue on the boardroom table, we have pioneered the concept of fleet performance improvement.”
“Working with Propaganda, we have changed the conventional approach to branding and communications.”
FMG Support, formed in 1986, is the UK’s largest independent fleet performance improvement company. It covers fleet incident management, roadside repair and recovery and vehicle rental management.
