Operations take a new direction at FMG Support
Issued May 7 2007 Key appointment to maintain exceptional customer service
The UK’s leading fleet performance improvement company, FMG Support, today announced the appointment of John Catling as group operations director.
Overseeing FMG Support’s entire operations including roadside repair, vehicle rental and fleet incident management, Catling brings over 22 years customer service experience to the job.
He began his working life at Green Flag and went on to work for a number of blue chip, charity and public service organisations including BT and South Staffordshire Water. Prior to joining FMG Support, Catling was managing director for a customer contact management company called Echo Managed Services.
With responsibility for directing all of FMG Support’s customer-facing operations, Catling’s main objective is to ensure that each member of his team understands the importance of their role within the business and to maintain world-class customer service standards.
John Catling explains: “Providing the best possible customer service to clients is key to the success of FMG Support. Each member of staff has an important role to play in improving the performance of our customers’ fleets; it is essential that they understand the impact that they can have as well as taking responsibility for looking at every opportunity to improve the services that we provide and the relationships that we have with our customers.”
“Fundamentally, I am delighted to be joining FMG Support. It is a growing and thriving company that is not afraid to challenge the conventions of the industry, and to look at different ways of conducting business in an industry that has been reluctant to change. ”
Nick Brown, chief executive for FMG Support comments: “We’re delighted that John has joined us, and in the short time that he has been with us we are already seeing the positive impact he has had upon the operations side of the business.”
